Will The Google Automator survive?

Subscription Analyzer for Substack Writers and The Future

I’ve written a nifty little Google Sheet automation specifically for Substack writers.

The problem:
Substack does not provide a way to see free subscribers who have unsubscribed. This tool provides a way to see unsubscribes and new subscribes between two periods of time.

You can copy the tool into your own Google Drive and see how it works.

It will work for any email lists where the email address is the first column. Include a heading because I ignore row #1.

The Links You Need

You can get the instructions, which have a link to the sheet, here.

Or you can go directly to the sheet here. It has a link to the documentation as well.

You will need to copy the Google Sheet into your drive and then authorize the code to run under your account. The code is, of course, freely available. Play with it as you see fit.

About The Google Automator

I’ve started a role with Meta. You can read about it here. I also analyzed my time and activity here. As much as I would love to maintain this Substack, it may become more of a free outlet of code snippets that I upload when I have time.

To be honest, I’m still figuring that out.

That’s it for now. See ya soon.
